The Force Commander is a Space Marine veteran assigned to lead an Astartes strike force. The title appears to be a temporary field rank, but in backstory terms a Force Commander is generally assumed to be a Company Captain or similar senior Marine. In gameplay terms, the Force Commander is a straightforward type close-combat hero with access to powerful weapons but also very tanky defensive wargear.
- One of the strongest melee units
- Can inspire and buff nearby infantry
- The only hero that can summon Assault Terminators
- The only hero that can be upgraded into a different unit (the Terminator Armor upgrade)
