Much the same as their Wraithblade kin, these towering heavy infantry robots also bear the soul of a hero skilled in ferocious ranged attack. While this certainly makes them a formidable foe, their cannons need to be charged before they can fire. This makes the Wraithguard an ideal unit to provide supporting fire from a distance. Thankfully, the Wraithguard can be recalled to an Infinity Portal if they find themselves fighting a losing battle. They are best suited for targeting vehicles and buildings.

Every shot from these bots does heavy damage especially to vehicles and buildings from a good range, however they have a couple of seconds delay from starting to fire and actually firing, plus a long delay in between and a slow projectile speed, so from the time they see a target at max range to actually hitting them with a blast can approach 6 to 8 seconds, and that's only if the target doesn't back off (note, the fired bolts are homing and potentially near-infinite range, so enemies can't flat-out dodge them other than getting behind a shield). They also have an incredibly slow movement speed. This makes them fairly unsuitable for constant on-the-move combat but can excel defensively or as makeshift artillery against buildings. They are also reasonably tough. They don't have a very large sight range on their own so send something like a Ranger squad to help them find targets.

With the proper doctrine, they can fire less stable shots from their wraithcannons, an activated ability that lasts a duration. These shots do normal damage and can chew through infantry and smaller elites much better than regular shots.
